Having never met this client, it was going to be a challenge to understand her style and what I thought she would want to promote her business. All contact was made via the internet and email. After establishing her love of Marilyn Monroe, it was decided to build the brand around her.

I sometimes work with Kolibri Letterpress Printing to produce these stunning business cards. They are printed on your choice of beautiful heavy card. There is also the possibility of printing on duplex card ie where two cards of different colours can be mounted back to back.

My brief was to produce a clean fresh identity unlike the norm for this kind of industry. It would need to translate into business cards, letterheads, invoices, internal and external signage, advertising, uniforms and a future website. The cards were produced on bright white stock and matt coated to give a tactile feel and, on a practical level, keep them in good condition in a workshop environment.

This client wanted to promote their holiday lets in a more professional manner than they had previously done. I did the research, providing information on the local area, sourced photos and designed the 4 page glossy brochure, which has resulted in increased bookings.

I used photos of the happy couple (my parents) on their actual wedding day, combined with gold silk ribbon and beautiful paper to produce these invitations, supplied with matching envelopes.

This client was quite definite about what she wanted and was pleased that I was able to translate her ideas into the fresh-looking identity that she was looking for. The cards and letterhead were produced on bright white stock to further enhance the clean style. In addition, the cards were matt coated to give a soft tactile feel.

Brochure delivered to the World Bank

Designed for the Grey Water Recycling Project in Yemen, the brochure was delivered to the World Bank, so they could undertake the project in other Muslim countries with a water deficit.

The project, piloted by Parsons Brinckerhoff has since gone on to be a great success.

I designed this company's corporate calendar from 2003 to 2010. Each year the challenge was to come up with something different, whilst being relevant and keeping to the style guidelines.

Sourcing a suitable set of images was a huge undertaking, as the style of each image needed to work with all the others, as well as being relevant to the month.
